No lengthy text for this event. My personal life was in an uproar and put me way behind schedule. It does take an effort and time to come up with original and entertaining writing you know... As always the Olustee event was large and well run with an evening ball, many sutlers and vendors. The food vendors on-site were plentiful and offered a large variety of sustinence. This event draws reenactors from many states and is a joy to attend just to see many new faces. The scripted battles are the same every year and may be boring for the reenactors but it does make the action and reenactors appear to be more military in their formations and movements. Florida weather in February usually is perfect for wool uniforms. This is an event on original battle ground you should attend. |
